Yeah I prefer the first heavy metal movie too today, even none total geeks one can enjoy it.

Though in later years I think the - advertising became a little too much. You could say the first movie is more in tune with the comic being that it was a set of stories in which talented artist could get their comic out there when so many publishers deny cool comics the light of day, and if you liked a comic you could order the albums. Sure but they are both based on the comic 'Heavy Metal' which was awesome back in the day.
